About Trinity & Halona Hula
Halona Hula is led by Trinity Iwankiw, a Native Hawaiian, Lahaina-born cultural educator and performer who grew up training in both Lahaina and Wailuku, Maui. Her foundation is rooted in authentic Hawaiian tradition, shaped by lived experience, and lessons bestowed by kupuna.
For nearly 20 years, Trinity performed at Old Lahaina Luau, Feast at Lele, and Royal Lahaina Resort's Myths of Maui, where she danced, chanted, and served as an MC. She also trained and competed in Hawaii’s Merrie Monarch competition, Hula’s most disciplined and culturally demanding stage.
Her work has taken her from Hawaii to Florida, New Jersey, and New Zealand, reaching audiences in community, cultural, and professional settings.
Since relocating to Central Florida, Trinity has appeared at Disney Springs Kids Club, SeaWorld, and Universal Studios' Mega Movie Parade, bringing authentic representation of Hawaiian culture to families, schools, and organizations.
Halona Hula centers cultural education through movement, storytelling, and genuine engagement, ensuring every program and performance honors tradition.
